EVERY TIME A BELL RINGS by Matt Aston, 2020

Engine House Theatre present #ParkBenchTheatre, an outdoor season of three monologues set on a park bench. Performing August and September 2020 in Rowntree Park, York. -- I am feeling thrilled and relieved to be performing live at all this year. Especially excited to be playing Cathy in the premiere of Every Time A Bell Rings.

WISHES FULFILLED

Looking forward to working with Az2B Theatre Company once more for the third play in their trilogy of plays addressing living well with dementia, good and bad practice in care homes and the final installment, death. I'll be directing the Research and Development of WISHES FULFILLED, we'll be looking at ways to approach talking about death and the emotional, logistical and legal issues that surround our final days. We'll be working with John Barber again and his brilliant puppets and masks.

SUMMER REP

Feel very lucky to be working in rep in Chester all summer on three shows at Grosvenor Park for the lovely Storyhouse.

Excited to be touring with Pilot Theatre's NOUGHTS AND CROSSES in 2019. I'll be playing Meggie in Sabrina Mafouz's adaption of Malorie Blackman's best selling novel.

THEY DON"T PAY? WE WON"T PAY!

Delighted to be cast as Anthea in Debbie McAndrew's take on Dario Fo's classic political farce, updated for today's Britain of food banks and Brexit. Touring with Northern Broadside autumn 2018.

GEORGE'S MARVELLOUS MEDICINE

I'll be playing GRANDMA in George's Marvellous Medicine at Curve Theatre and touring during 2017/18.

FLOOD

Proud and privileged to be part of Flood, the epic 4 part multi-media production by Slung Low, written by James Phillips and directed by Alan Lane for Hull, City of culture 2017. The Omnibus of Flood Parts 2, 3 and 4 will be perfomed and screened live at Victoria Dock in Hull this October.

What Do You See?

After the success of 'Grandma Remember Me?', I'm delighted to be working with AZ2B Theatre Company again. This time I'm directing the R&D of 'What Do You See?', Belinda Lazenby's powerful exploration of palliative care and good and bad practise in care homes. Captain Mermaid fans will be pleased to know that the show will feature John Barber and his puppets. Touring autumn 2016.

Blood + Chocolate is a wonderful promenade performance through the streets of York. I am so proud to be part of this collaboration between Slung Low, Pilot Theatre, York Theatre Royal, 800 cast, crew and volunteers, and not least the city of York. Tickets were all sold out before our first show but you can watch the Live Steaming of Blood + Chocolate on Thursday 17th October, and for a while afterwards on Pilot Theatre TV.
